My name is Lily Reed, and this blog is about…. lilies!

Yes, I know. It’s a true coincidence, but not really. My mother really loves this flower; she named me after him!

My mother started growing lilies when she was pregnant with me after the doctor told her not to move from the bed when she was 6 months pregnant. So it’s been a special bond for us. 

Her love for lilies has been passed on to me, and I’m so excited to put this knowledge to good use finally.

I live in El Paso for 36 years now (which is my age), where it’s almost always sunny, and everything related to my growth has been accompanied by lilies. 

When I’m not taking care of my lilies, I like to support local artisans, experiment with vegan cooking, watch films, and practice yoga. I work at an animal shelter as a vet, but I’m thinking of switching careers to gardening (Just thinking about it, no pressure).

While you know Lilies as beautiful flowers, I can show you that they are much more than that. Lilies come in various shapes, sizes, and colors and can be used to create stunning floral arrangements for any occasion.

They have an interesting history that goes back to ancient times, so that you can learn about their cultural significance!  You can even cook with lilies! I will show you how to incorporate these blooms into your recipes perfectly.

Not only this, but I will also share with you my love for gardening. Growing different varieties of lilies is a passion of mine, and I’m excited to show you how to care for these plants correctly.
